Industrial sensors such as pressure switches or proximity switches are essential components in modern systems. Their precise positioning and secure mounting are crucial for the function and reliability of the entire application. With its DIN 3015-compliant clamps, STAUFF offers a sophisticated solution for sensor mounting - flexible, secure and easy to install.

STAUFF clamps were originally developed for fastening pipes, hoses and cables. However, thanks to their robust and modular design, they are also ideal for quick, easy and secure fixing of sensors and switches - in both round and square designs.

• They are secured by clamping the component between the two halves of the clamp.

• It is screwed together with two hexagon socket screws.

• Due to the low mechanical load on sensors, a cover plate can usually be dispensed with.

For cylindrical sensors, STAUFF offers a complete programme in the standard series in accordance with DIN 3015, Part 1. Typical diameters covered:

• 3 mm

• 4 mm

• 5 mm

• 6.5 mm

• 8 mm

• 12 mm

• 18 mm

• 30 mm

This variety enables the secure attachment of almost all common sensor sizes.

Sensors with a cubic or rectangular design - such as inductive proximity switches - are fastened using STAUFF's VK square clamps. These clamps are based on DIN 3015, part 1, size 5, but have a square bore instead of a round one.

The typical dimension of 40x40 mm is covered by the square clamp type 540-40-PP-VK. This offers a precise and stable fixing for square sensors. Variants for a variety of other dimensions (e.g. 30x30 mm, 40x36mm, 50x50mm or 60x60mm) are also available on request. If the clamp is not to be screwed directly to the system or mounted on a welding plate, STAUFF offers a flexible solution: the combination of mounting rail and rail nut allows the clamp to be repositioned at a later date - ideal for applications with changing requirements.

The axial positioning of the sensor can also be adjusted quickly and precisely by simply loosening the hexagon socket screws. Additional components can also be added easily: They can simply be slid into the side of the tag rail.

An inductive sensor, i.e. a non-contact proximity switch that detects metallic objects using an electromagnetic field, needs to be securely fastened in order to detect the end position of hydraulic cylinders. As the sensor holders offered by the sensor manufacturer cannot be inserted seamlessly into the existing system structure, STAUFF's square clamps are used to attach the sensor
