To Team Members Customers and Suppliers,

Across the globe, individuals, families, communities and businesses are dealing with adjusting their daily lives to help contain the COVID-19 virus. We at Stauff are no different. We constantly monitor the situation and adjust our action plans to best meet the needs of all our stakeholders, Employees, Customers, Shareholders and Community. Our goal is to provide for the safety and health of all our employees, customers and partners, while delivering the highest levels of support that many have come to expect from Stauff.

On March 16, the President issued updated Coronavirus (COVID-19) guidance for America. The guidance stated that: “If you work in a critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, such as healthcare services and pharmaceutical and food supply, you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule."

Stauff North American locations at 7 Wm Demarest Place, Waldwick, New Jersey 07463, 42650 Executive Drive, Canton, Michigan 48188 and 866 Milner Ave, Scarborough, ON M1B 5N7, Canada manufactures and supplies critical components throughout North America. Certain industries have been designated “Critical Manufacturing” under the Department of Homeland Security’s emergency readiness programs. The United States Federal government and Canadian Provincial government accordingly considers segments of industries to be essential in maintaining Critical Essential production.

The definition of Critical Essential manufacturing comes from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Cyber & Infrastructure memo titled “Guidance on the Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce: Ensuring Community and National Resilience in COVID-19 Response Version 1.0 (March 19, 2020)”. Their description of Critical Manufacturing is as follows:

CRITICAL MANUFACTURING

• Workers necessary for the manufacturing of materials and products needed for medical supply chains, transportation, energy, communications, food and agriculture, chemical manufacturing, nuclear facilities, the operation of dams, water and wastewater treatment, emergency services and the defense industrial base.

Stauff Corporation has been designated as a Critical Manufacturing Supplier by key Customers who have been so designated themselves. This includes John Deere, Swagelok and a growing list of others.

For these reasons, Stauff will remain open as to not disrupt the supply chain of critical products to Critical Manufacturing during this time of crisis.

During this unprecedented time, we will strive to provide our goods to these critical manufacturers with the minimal number of workers, with all others either working from home or otherwise not onsite. We will also adhere to the CDC guidelines and government regulations without fail.

Stauff remains committed to our employees, our community and our important industry partners.
